It's a crappy version of the Clover Proudfoot stuff. Yes, I Sue'd my own Sue. The grammar and spelling could be worse, but I got some good typos in, as well as a mighty fine example of excessive run-on sentences. It needs a sufficiently hackneyed title though. I was thinking of "Before the Fellowship" or just plain "Clover's Story". Help? Enjoy, and I do use the term loosely. A/N--I worked REALLY HARD on this, and its my 1st fic, so review and be nice! Once there was a pretty little hobbit lass named Clover Proudfoot. She had bright blue eyes and glorious dark hair (A/N--just cause I read somewhere that Elijah likes dark hair) and flawless pale skin with high cheekbones and was more beautiful than any other hobbit lass in the Shire. All so she was a cousin of Merry and Piippin, cause her mother was their parents sister. But she lived in Hobbiton, cause even though her mother was a Took, her dad was a Proudfoot and the Proudfoots lived in Hobbiton. Well, since she was a cousin of Merry and Pip, she was Frodo’s cousin, too, but she didn’t care about that because she didn’t talk to Frodo since he lived over near Merry with his parents and she lived in Hobbiton. But she was really fond of Bilbo, so she’d met Frodo once or twice and really didn’t like him much at all. But Clover put up with him ‘cuase she was so fond of Bilbo and liked to hear his stories. So anyway, when Frodo’s parent drowned and Biblo got suckered into taking him in, Clover was NOT a happy hobbit. Now she wouldn’t have her uncle all to herself anymore ( A/N--or is he really another cousin? I forget, so I’m going with Uncle, cause that’s what it is in the movies). So Clover started staying away from bAg End, cause she didn’t like Frodo and he was ALWAYS there cause he had no life and no friends. The other hobbits picked on him or left him out, poor thing, so he spent a lot of time hanging around Bag End and reading. And that meant that poor Clover didn’t go over as much as she used to, which worried Bilbo but hey? What can you do? This went on for ages and ages, and Sam was born and Merry and Pippin too, and Clover liked them so she spent time with them, which meant she had to hang out with Frodo, too. Which she didn’t much like, but she put up with him for her friends. She did make a point at getting better than he was at everything, though. But she still didn’t go hang out at Bag End when Frodo was there, only when just Bilbo was around. Which wasn’t very often. So one day, Bilbo got really really sick, and Clover got stuck with having to hunt down Frodo and tell him. And nobody knew what was wrong with Bilbo. He just kept getting sicker and sicker and none of the doctors or even Clover’s mother the phramasist could fix him. So instead of getting to help her mother and maybe fix Bilbo (which she could have done cause she was a very smart hobbit, but the grown-ups sent her away instead of listening to her like they shoulda done), she had to go track down Frodo. And she was in a very bad mood when she finally found him. So when she found Frodo, instead of being nice and kind aobut it, she just blurted out “Bilbo’s sick!” (she why she’s not a Sue? She’s not perfect!) And Frodo went “What?” and Clover said “yeah, he’s really really sick so you gotta come back to Bag End RIGHT NOW!!” And Frodo was all upset, cause he loved Bilbo a lot. And seeing Frodo all upset made Clover all upset, and she started to feel a little nicer towards Frodo, so she gave him a hug just to cheer him up. But when she hugged him, she noticed that he was cuddly and cute, and then she knotices how blue his eyes were, and she decided then and there that she loved him. But Frodo was crying over Bilbo so he didn’t knotice when Clover fell in love with him. So he just went to see Bilbo and cried and cried, and nobody could fix him so Frodo stayed all upset, even though Clover loved him. But eventually Gandalf came and he talked to Clover and to Clover’s mom the pharmisst and the doctor and Frodo and everybody, and Gandalf actually listened to Clover when she said it was some sort of evil spell making Bilbo sick, which none of the other grown ups would do. So, thanks to Clover, Gandalf was able to figure out a counter spell and fix Bilbo and everyone was happy again. Once Bilbo was all better, Frodo noticed finally that Clover loved him, but she wouldn’t admit it cause she was too embarrassed, so he never said that he loved her too, even though he did. Then he went away on that quest, and came back all damaged, and sailed West, cause Clover’s love just wasn’t enough to make him feel better. And Clover watched the sunset every day for the rest of her life, and missed Frodo, until she died.
