Department of Technical Errors
Feedback to Araeph
Prologue
A pirate
is hanged, Agent Isaiah experiences unpleasant flashbacks, and a Celestial Sue
makes an appearance. There's talk of Misspelled Monkeys and trouble in the LotR
section.
The Most
Beautiful Women
Agents Isaiah and Mara accidentally meet when two similar
Sue stories become hopelessly entwined. In doing so, they witness a Sue of Many
Names, an impressed Jack, and the reincarnation of a Greek legend. The
Department of Technical Errors is formed.
Imposter
Someone has
stolen the wit, courage and humor from Captain Jack Sparrow! The agents save a
band from asphyxiation, a ghost appears, and Agent Quen introduces two unusual
DTE staff members.
Shay Leigh Turner
It's the
Turners' turn to suffer canon corruption at the hands of a pack of Sues. A
mysterious illness causes Lady Contrivance to step in. Periods go missing from
the fic and the only investigator around is Sherlock "Homes". The author's notes
don't help, either.
Your Unhappy
Elladan
Drafted into LotR PPCing by a "Guess the Age of the Suethor"
contest, the DTE agents have the...pleasure...of encountering a
punctuation-abusive Sue who seduces not one, but two Elves. (Not that she was
kind enough to inform either of them about this double dealing, of course.) More
of this Sue's smiting to come.
A Visit to OFUCI
In the first part of this inter-mission time for Mara and Isaiah, the intrepid PPCers tour the Official Fanfiction University of the Caribbean Islands, where fangirls learn, through pain, to be better authors. Poor agents.
The Smiting Ceremony
Evelyn the Two-timing Sue gets her just desserts in one of the more bizarre PPC rituals. The PPC Goddess steps in, along with mini-Balrogs, the Book of Canon, and cauliflower. An inside look at just how insane agents can become.
All About You
The Department of Technical Errors faces its very first you-Sue, involving the theft of Jack's ship. She's an eighteen year old female pirate captain who knows all the tricks in the book. The agents go in expecting huge headaches, and get them, but come out quite astonished. Involves an unexpectedly nonviolent ending.
Mary Sue's Mind Control
This second LotR PPCing has Mara and Isaiah delving into the hideous
world of fangirls. You have been warned. All of the "hot" canon characters are
abducted and subjected to the whims of hyper teenagers, so Mara and Isaiah
invent a little excursion for them. Never say "Stuff Arwen" in a PPCer's
presence.
